Magnificent Vistas and Natural Beauty

Centrally located in Virginia, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. Easily accessible via interstate with nearby entrances to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive and the Appalachian Trail, Waynesboro is a charming destination as well as an ideal hub for day trips and excursions to surrounding areas. Visitors can enjoy several city parks, including Ridgeview Park, Coyner Springs Park, South River Greenway, Botanical Garden, Constitution Park, North Park.

South River Greenway is Waynesboro’s newest park. It runs 0.88 mile alongside the South River. The nearly one mile paved pathway stretches from the Dominion Shelter in Constitution Park, meanders along the South River and terminates at the Loth Springs trailhead area behind the YMCA. Walkers, runners, birders, fishermen and moms with strollers will all find a peaceful setting to get out and enjoy where good nature comes naturally.

Coyner Springs Park is a rustic, 300-acre park. It is not unusual to share the fresh country air with numerous wildlife such as red-tailed hawks, woodpeckers, squirrels, fox, and even a deer or two. This serene park has a picnic area, several nature trails, a leash-free dog park, and is a great setting for activities like kite flying and walking/ jogging.
